About Library

SSPM’s Arts and Science Mahila College was established in Shahada Dist-Nandurbar in the year 1994 to fulfill the long felt desire and inspiration of the people in Nandurbar District as an institute of higher education.

The library was started in the college during the year 1994 to achieve the objective of teaching and promote higher education which is the aim of establishing any college on educational institute. In the beginning the college library had a small collection of 315 books and small room was given for the library.

The college library corner situated and easily accessible to all the community of the college i.e. teachers, students non-teaching staff has steadily grand over the years and has today nearly 4862 books include textbooks and reference books and 15 national and international journals and 4 Newspapers available in the library.

The library is attached with a reading room with the seating capacity around 30 students. the library also provide Reference Service, Current Awareness Services, Selective Dissemination of Information Services, Inter Library loan Services, Home lending Services, Internet Information Services, free E-Journals Services, Audio-Visuals information Services.

Reference Section:

This section has Encyclopaedia, dictionaries, Textbooks, Reference books etc. which are only available for reference. User can make use of these resources.

Journal Section:

In these section journals, general magazines and Newsletter are available. They are arranged alphabetically. The latest issues are displayed on display rack and other previous issues are arranged in the drawer. Bound volumes of periodicals are arranged in rack alphabetically and are meant only for reference within the library.
