Our college is situated in the semi urban area but our maximum students are from rural and tribal area. Most of them live at the bottom of the Satpuda ranges. Their need for higher education was noticed by our late founder Hon. Karmasakshi Nanasaheb Jadhav and he established Sonamai Shikshan Prasarak Mandal by means of which Arts and Science Mahila College had been established in 1994.Hon.Bharatjyoti Ashatai Premchandji Jadhav is the chairman of Management and all the members are women. Our College is run by the women and for the women. The Management is running the college with dedication. We are trying our level best to develop cultured duty-oriented and responsible citizens from our students.
